Service Description

Hijama is an Arabic word derived from 'Hajm' which means sucking and only refers to wet cupping. The Hijama therapists will apply cups to the Sunnah points on the body which include specific points on the back and in between the shoulder blades towards the neck. Hijama and Wet Cupping use the same technique however, Hijama holds religious value for many Muslims around the world. Hijama is often performed on Muslims on ‘important’ days in the month and the suction cups are applied to ‘Sunnah points’ on the body which follows the tradition of the Prophet SAW. However, Wet cupping is available for everyone to try and has been thought by many to have significantly better results than dry cupping. Health is of utmost importance in Islam. Abdullah Ibn Abbas ra reported that the Messenger SAW said ‘Healing is in three things: A gulp of honey, cupping, and branding with fire (cauterizing)." But I forbid my followers to use (cauterization) branding with fire.’ [Sahih Bukhari, 5681, Sahoh Sunan Ibn Maajah- 3491]. From this we can take that Hijama is a Sunnah and liked by the Prophet SAW. Sessions may last between 45-60 minutes, depending upon the client.
